We’ve been having a great time with Perla and Abby. Yesterday Perla made Chiles Rellenos and tortillas de harina (flour tortillas) for lunch. Everything was so good!!
In the evening we went to the North Bridge for a brief history lesson. Before we left, Abby and Cameron were playing with our flowers.

For dinner we had grilled chicken sandwiches with pesto and as side dish, we had grilled squash and zucchini. I made the bread; I wanted to show Perla how easy it is to make it from scratch. The pesto is also home made; our neighbor gave me the recipe and I used the basil that we are both growing in our backyard – very tasty! Abby ate most of her chicken and zucchini; that girl has a great appetite!
