Pictures with Mommy

There are only a few pictures of me and Emma mostly because I'm the one behind the camera. Today we made it a "priority" to go out there and take some shots. The weather was beautiful and Emma is finally wearing her summer dress that our neighbor gave her.

Coordination

This week Emma has been working on her hand-mouth coordination. She moves her arms so much that sometimes it is hard for her to get her hand in her mouth. It is so much fun watching her do this! Hopefully she won't make a habbit out of it.

We are also training her to put herself to sleep by laying her down when she's "drowsy". If she's wide awake, she wiggles so much that I think she gets herself tired and then falls asleep. She's doing a good job so far (makes it a lot easier on mommy).

Pure Joy

It brings me great joy to see Cameron interact with Emma. He is an amazing father and loves Emma so much! The Lord has truly blessed me with my dear husband!
I was going over “old” pictures and found these. I hope they bring you a smile when you look at them. They certainly melt my heart.

Organic Community Garden

We got a small plot in an organic community garden close to our house. It is 12.5 by 25 feet long and the walking distance is only 10 minutes away. We are very excited to have this opportunity! We will be planting herbs, vegetables and flowers. Cameron has been preparing the soil and this morning all three of us headed out there to start planting. No one was there when we got there; we had it all to ourselves!

Here's a close up. I'm carrying Emma (yes, she's in there):

Cameron was making sure all of the plants were properly separated according to the instructions: While Daddy was doing all the hard work, Emma was sleeping comfortably:

Her first Boo-Boo

Emma had her two month checkup last Thursday and she got four vaccinations. One of them was oral and the other three were shots. Poor thing, she cried so hard when she got the third shot but luckily I was able to console her and she stopped crying. She didn't have a bad reaction to the shots; the only side effects were 10 minutes of unstopped crying in the afternoon and lots of sleeping (probably due to the acetaminophen I had given her).

The next day she was still a happy baby:

Eight Weeks

Emma is eight weeks old today! It is amazing to see how fast she's growing and how much she's changing.

The weather finally cooperated so that we could go out and take some pictures. She has some really cute outfits that she hasn't been able to wear because it has been too cold.

Since I had some "extra" time on my hands, I changed Emma into this adorable dress that Karla (co-worker) gave her, went outside and snapped some pictures.

She's getting too big for her bassinet and will soon sleep in her crib. Our friend Perla Livengood made this quilt - it is hand made.

Letters for Emma

Grammy Douglas made these beautiful letters for Emma. Nancy is very creative and one day she'll teach Emma how to do crafts.

This picture is almost a month old. Cameron was holding her while she was sleeping and before we knew it, Emma had taken her sock off.

We took this picture because we wanted to capture Emma's mouth. This was taken after she had a good meal and was completely satisfied.
