Making Pan de Muerto

Emma and Ana like to get involved in the kitchen. This time they helped make Pan de Muerto. Although I never made it growing up in Mexico, I think it is important for our girls to keep up with Mexican traditions. Emma kept asking if we could make Conchas, but maybe we will try that recipe some other day.

The bread came out very soft, spongy and very tasty.

Halloween at School

This is the first year that Emma and Ana weren’t allowed to wear their Halloween costume to school due to the coronavirus. Face paint wasn’t even allowed, but they could wear accessories: socks, shirts, hair accessories. The girls dug out their Halloween hair bows that belonged to their cousin Isabelle (who is now 19) and found their scarfs and headbands that Mei Mei gave them. They did an excellent job with their outfit.

Halloween Party at FFC

Our friends Dan and Allison invited us over at their chiropractic office for a small Halloween party. Emma and Ana did their own Catrina makeup. We tried putting on face paint on Titus and it didn’t go that well.
