Dinner at Steak N Shake

After getting some flowers for our pots and flower beds, Cameron took us to dinner at Steak N Shake. The girls had a lot of fun and were looking forward to the milk shakes! They each had one, goodness!

Driving

"Mommy, we are going to Mexico." That's what Emma told me they were going when she and Ana invaded the car as soon as I got home. We've been mentioning our future visit to Juarez with the girls. I guess they are getting ready for it.

Why is Ana wearing a bike helmet? Cameron decided to put it on and avoid any injuries as they were playing outside.

It has been a tradition betweed Nancy and her granddaughters (including Isabelle) to take pictures of the girls wearing her reading glasses. Here's Ana wearing her Mei Mei's ready glasses.

Gymnastics Outfit

This was Emma's outfit for gymnastics. Her leotard that her Abuela sent, with her new skirt that her Mei Mei got her, plus her shoes from aunt Marta. She really matches!

Ana got a hand-me-down helmet and won't take it off! Crazy kid.

Emma called me to come see her baby. Ha! These are the moments that I want to remember.

Car Wash

After we got home on Easter Sunday, the girls helped their dad wash the car. They are both wearing their new shoes! Seriously! Of course the shoes got muddy and wet. Cameron had to hose them down and they were like new again.

Getting warmer!

The weather is a lot warmer and that means the girls don't have to wear coats! Emma is wearing a new dress that Mei Mei got her yesterday and Ana is wearing a hand-me-down. Cute!

Before 8 AM

This picture was taken today before 8 AM.  Ana had already decided what she wanted to wear...her sister's swimsuit. She put it on backwards!

Outfits

After dinner, we went to story time at our library. Emma wore the same outfit she had all day but Ana changed her clothes. I tried putting some plain pants on but she refused. "Pick your battles", right? At least she had a plain pink bow on her hair while we were at the library. She looked half decent from waist up. Of course she later took the bow off.

Tomatoes and Basil

Our tomatoes and basil plants are still babies. We started them from seed on Emma's birthday and they should be ready for Jenny (my sister-in-law) to teach me all the yummy recipes she's learned in Italy.

Sun Bathing at the Beach

We were outside this afternoon and the girls were having fun playing. All of the sudden Emma was lying down on our porch said she was pretending to be at the beach.  How we wish that was true! It was 45 degrees outside when she said that. Spring will be here soon!

We spent over an hour after lunch enjoying the beautiful weather. I told the girls to gather as many dandelions as they could. They had so much fun playing outside without coats!

Two Inches of Snow!

This morning we woke up to a couple of inches of snow. It was a beautiful sight!  Most of the snow was gone by the end of the day. I think today was the last day that I was able to wear my snow boots.

Go Wildcats!

I thought Ana would look cute with Emma's old Kentucky Wildcats sweatshirt. Well, she did for the few seconds after we left the house this morning. Ana tripped and landed on a big puddle; her entire outfit was ruined. We had to go back inside and start all over. Good thing that this incident only involved a change of clothes and not twelve stitches like her sister a couple of weeks ago.

Ana Turns TWO!

Today is Ana's second birthday! I think this picture really captures her personality. I caught her playing with the hand soap inside the sink while I was making lunch.

On a different note, Ana still loves playing with baby dolls, Emma's new bike, and LOVES changing her unmatching socks at least two times a day and wear her sister's shoes. She can jump with both feet, run and climb anything that she sets her mind on. Notice that I haven't mentioned that she's potty trained, she has no interest whatsoever except that she does tell me when she has a dirty diaper.

We really have to take one day at a time with Ana, but we love her very much!
