Raking Leaves

Yesterday was a beautiful day and the girls needed to be outside to enjoy the great weather. The girls wanted to build a huge leaf pile so they could jump in it. They had so much fun!

After they were done playing, they got to open a box that their abuelos sent from Mexico. They loved all their new things they got especially their new dresses (shown below) and their new Frozen blankets.

Aaron's Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated Aaron's 11th birthday (our nephew). We had a great time at John and Nancy's house. The food was excellent; Cameron was in charge of the grill and we all brought side dishes. The kids had a great time playing in the yard and the weather was beautiful.
We really enjoy having our family so close!

S.T.O.P. Two Year Anniversary

Yesterday we hosted our two years anniversary party for our property restoration company - Service Team of Professionals (S.T.O.P.). daytonstop.com

It was a fun celebration. The decorations and food were perfect. We managed this between Allie, our excellent marketing representative, and yours truly. We asked our guests to dress up in their favorite costume. Cameron was Erick, The Phantom of the Opera and I was Christine (although I can't sing at all!). The girls got to wear their Queen Elsa dresses. We had a great time! We are so proud of Cameron and his hard work!

Wedding Anniversary Weekend

We are down in Lexington, KY celebrating our seventh year wedding anniversary. Cameron found a Bed & Breakfast close to the Kentucky Horse Park; it is beautiful out here. Quiet and relaxing. Perfect!

This Kid!!

Here's one of the MANY reasons why Ana is not allowed to color or even come close to markers. She still gets to them when we are not watching her.

Mexican Chips

I almost jumped out of joy when I saw these Mexican chips in the store. I couldn't decide which ones to get, I was like a kid in a candy store! I finally decided on my favorite chips, Ruffles con queso (cheese) and something mild. Rancheritos are not too spicy for the girls but still full of flavors.

Emma keeps saying she loves the Mexican chips and Ana can't stop eating them. We rarely buy chips, so this is a good treat and "comfort food".

I Want Vegetables

Ana came over to Cameron, who was sitting at the table and said:

Ana: "Babe, I want vegetables."
Cam: "What kind of vegetables?"
Ana: " The white ones."
Cam: "Ok"

Ana was asking for cauliflower!

Playing - "Fashion Show"

The girls were playing on their own for over an hour. Ana was coming upstairs when I heard Emma say "don't go, she's going to be mad". Then I saw Ana...I couldn't help but laugh. I realized why Emma said I was going to be upset, Ana's face and arms were covered in different colors. Emma said they were playing "fashion show" and they needed to put makeup on. Goodness!!

Homemade Ice Cream

With Cameron's dietary restrictions, we drastically had to change our eating habbits. What can he eat? Basically just all meats (no shell fish), fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts. No grains, no dairy, no night shades (goodbye Mexican food), no legumes.

It has been a long process trying out different recipes that are suitable for Cameron. Today I made homemade (dairy free) mint chocolate chip ice cream for the first time and it was a total success! It was absolutely delicious!
