Mirrors are up!

While the Carters were here,, we asked Brian for help. He helped Cameron move furniture, install the vanity mirrors and cut  and install Ana's closet door. The vanity mirrors look great!

Carters' Visit

Our friends, the Carter's, flew over for a short visit. We went to Carillon Park, the Air Force Museum and Boonshoft Museum. The kids blew off energy by  going to the park, riding bikes and climbing  trees. Drew and Ella are really sweet kids and we really enjoyed spending time with all of them.

Mamá Nena (1933-2018)

Mamá Nena passed away in her sleep last Sunday morning. She wasn't sick.  It was unexpected. She was my grandma.

Because of her, I know how to make tamales. She would have all of her four daughters help during the entire process and any grandkid that wanted to help. After an alk day process, we would make hundreds of tamales and have plenty to take home.

Today both of our girls get involved when we make tamales during Holiday Season. It is a great tradition that I'm hoping our girls will cherish, embrace and keep up for the rest of their lives.

Last night we went to our first Christmas party of the season. We walked to our friends' house wearing our Hawaiian outfits. Lots of yummy food and drinks and we got to meet a lot of new people.

Ana's Forehead

Nancy sent me the picture of the girls that came up on her memory feed. I think that was from four years ago, Emma das four and Ana was two. Notice something obvious from comparing both pictures? Ana has another bruise on her forehead today! I promise it hasn't been thete for four years, but this is just too funny.

Girls & Santa

Emma and Ana are spending the weekend  with Mei Mei and Paw Paw while Cameron and I work hard to finish the upstairs bathroom. Mei Mei took the girls to her local YMCA and they visited with Santa.

Senior Christmas Luncheon at Community Center

The third graders performed special Christmas songs for the senior citizens at the community center. Both John and Nancy were able to join us and Emma enjoyed seeing them.
