Atenas 2006 - 2022

Our hear broke when we had to put Atenas to sleep for the last time this morning. She was fifteen and a half years old. My baby before marriage and a great companion for the girls. The girls wanted to snap some pictures with her for the last time in our way to the vet.

Atenas was put to rest at our friends’ house next to three of their beloved furry pets.

Mexican Dresses at Church

Last Sunday several of us wore Mexican dresses to church. It was just a continuation of the Cinco the Mayo celebration we had last week.

Emma’s Dance Recital

Emma really enjoys dancing and this year we were finally able to enjoy a full production from her dance studio: Dance Dimensions. We love the studio for its professionalism and for its family oriented atmosphere.

Emma did an amazing job. I often credit all those years of Mexican Dance (Ballet Folklórico) for her dance rhythm and grace.

Día de la Madre

Emma surprised me today on Dia de la Madre with key lime pie truffles. Ana made me a cute design using her wood burning tools that she got from Allison on her birthday. Also, my NutriBullet stopped working last week and Cameron got me a new one.

Of course it’s not about the gifts, being a mom is a great blessing and a lot of work! Lol

Eating our Shrimp

Nature Tour with Captain Skip

Cameron booked a nature tour on a boat with Captain Skip. We learned about the different vegetation, marine life, fishing for oysters, crabs and shrimp. The highlight was seeing the dolphins, catching a sting ray, and feeding fish to the seagulls.

Morning at the Beach

Before listening to church online, we had a quiet time at the beach. It was as if we had a private beach, no one was there! It was great.
