Grocery Shopping at Trader Joe's

We absolutely LOVE shopping at Trader Joe's. We love the quality of their products, produce, meats, etc. and we also like how everyone is familiar with all of their products. Customer service is extraordinary. We shop there so often that many of the employees know us by name!

Today I was specifically looking for pancetta (Italian bacon) and I found it at a great price. Of course we ended up buying more than just the pancetta and the girls got their sample cookies and suckers and stickers. Ha!

We harvested our sweet potatoes today. I say we did pretty good for our first year!

Party at the Water Park

I'm finally getting to sort through the pictures in my camera of our trip down to Juarez. My parents wanted to give the girls a party so that they would be able to see and meet all their aunts and cousins.  The place was perfect and we couldn't of asked for a better weather.  The girls had so much fun! From picking their piñata and making the treat bags, to sliding down the water slides, to seeing my family and my friends with their kids...everything was perfect!

The cake was delicious (Tres Leches):

It is tradition that the "birthday girls" (although we were't celebrating any birthdays) give a small bite to the cake after singing Happy Birthday:

My mom, Sra. Roxana, and Sra. Cuquita (they've known me probably since I was Ana's age!):

I was so excited to see my dear friends Alma and Roxana with their own kids.
**I couldn't smile much because I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out - oral surgery - and the corner of my lip was all torn and swollen.**

Paola was only three months old when we got married...she's now a beautiful seven year old girl!

Elias is the sweetest little boy.  Alma is doing an excellent job as a mom!

Girls & Python

Yesterday we went to the Cincinnati zoo. It was a beautiful day for our zoo visit. The girls got to ride the carousel and the train (we usually skip these) and they loved the rides.

Seeing the monkeys and elephants was a lot of fun because they were entertaining their viewers. The girls got to touch a python for the first time and they liked it. Cameron asked Ana if she wanted to pet the lions and she said yes. She was ready to climb that fence and curl up with those big cats. Crazy kid!

We had a great time!

Pumpkin Harvest

We got three good size pumpkins from our garden. This is the first year that we grow pumpkins. All of the other pumpkins were eaten by squirrels or birds. Oh well, it was a good experience for the girls.

Reading with Daddy

New Shades + Stickers

We went on a walk and Ana was wearing her new shades. She also had some stickers from Trader Joe's, which somehow ended on her sunglasses. Why? Who knows!

All Clear!

Ana has been complaining for the past few days that her mouth was hurting (her throat was a little irritated). She is extremely hoarse, coughing and with nose drainage. She woke up in the middle of the night crying and saying her ear was hurting. This morning I made an appointment to see the pediatrician. Of course when I asked Ana if anything was hurting this morning, she said no.

I took her in to see the pediatrician and there's nothing wrong. Just a cold and a little build up in her ear that should drain on its own.  All clear!

Sick Girls

Both girls are sick. Good thing they didn't get sick while we were down in Mexico.

Being Held

If you've met Ana you know that she loves hugs or being held. We call her our koala baby. Today she wanted to be held by Cameron and she was pretending she was a sleeping baby. She's too much.

First Day of School

Another first day of preschool for Emma. Ana was ready to walk in the classroom with her big sister. Ha!

Breakfast

Today we had breakfast with beautiful and godly women. Sandra was the host and she did an excellent job getting everything ready. We had barbacoa, chilaquiles, papas con chorizo, eggs, waffles, fruit and cake. Everything was delicious!!

Time went by so quickly. It was great catching up with my friends. It felt like old times except that now we are all mothers! What a blessing to see all of them after so many years.
