Feeding Atenas

Emma has taken the responsibility of feeding Atenas. Every time she sees her food bowl empty, she wants to put dog food in it.

We really have to watch Emma, otherwise I end up cleaning a mess like this one:

And all this happened in just a few minutes when I was not watching her:

Mommy & Daddy's Helper

Emma is growing up so fast and she always wants to be involved in whatever we are doing. When I made tamales for Christmas, she wanted to help mommy. She had a lot of fun playing with the masa and I think Emma's help gave the tamales a "special touch". Maybe she'll learn how to make them as I learned from my mom and my grandmother.

Of course we couldn't keep Emma out of Daddy's workshop. We have to make sure we keep an eye on her every time Daddy is working on something and that the tools are all off. I never thought Emma would be interested in holding a hammer:

Choosing an Outfit

This is what happens when I let Emma choose her own outfit:

Of course she's only 21 months and she goes by the prints and bright colors. Don't worry, this was only a temporary outfit and I made sure she wore a matching outfit before we left the house. I was told that Cameron always wore mis-matched clothes; maybe it is hereditary!

Here's our little stinker watching a video and learning how to sign:

Washing Hands

Cameron built Emma a little stool so that she could reach to wash her hands and she loves it. Now she wants to wash her hands all the time!

Look at that stinker face:

Showing Daddy that her hands are all clean:

Visit to the Dairy Farm

Yesterday was cold, cloudy, and very windy but we still decided to take Emma to the dairy farm. We knew she would enjoy looking at the cows and of course eating ice cream.

I'm glad Daddy was holding Emma when we went into the barn becuse she didn't want to touch the animals or even walk around. She liked seeing all the animals, but she just didn't want to touch them. She kept "moo-ing" and "baa-ing" and pointing at all the cows and goats.

Cameron just couldn't get Emma to touch the goats:

I think these calves wanted to know if we had any food for them:

And here's what Emma does best - EAT. She took a hold of Daddy's pumpkin ice cream:
