Here is what the house looked like before we bought it. Notice the huge tree behind the house and all the old bushes throughout the front and side yard. Also the side gables were in desperate need of paint.
All the bushes are gone. My dad spent a significant amount of sweat hours removing the huge roots from all those old bushes. Here's the house freshly painted and ready for landscaping:

Another man's trash, is another man's treasure. We found this chair in a trash pile; when we saw it we knew immediately that it would be part of our landscaping.
Cameron made the side entry more attractive and sharming by adding pavers to create a walkway:
