More from our trip to MD

Pictures in Covenant Life church after Sunday's service - Uncle Van and Aunt Sherry:

With Kelley and Keara Murphy:

After church we had lunch with our friends Matt and Christine Helms; we went to a Tai restaurant and stayed there until they kicked us out (well, not literally)! Christine will give birth to their baby boy within the next few weeks; she looks beautiful and is always glowing!

Our visit to DC started with a stop at the National Archives. Followed by walking around the Capitol Building, going to the Library of Congress, Holocaust Museum, and visiting different memorials (Washington Memorial, WWII Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial) and it ended by an attempted visit to the White House.

Cameron's "man bag" came in handy to carry our snacks and water:

We spent the our last night in Baltimore at a Bed & Breakfast next to the inner Harbor; this is the view form the balcony:

Cameron was fascinated by the architecture of old Baltimore:
We met our dear friend Joanna and celebrated her birthday!

We enjoyed lunch at a Bertha's Mussels and then had gelato for dessert!

Merry Christmas!

We want to wish you all a Merry Christmas!
Since we are moving, we didn’t put up a Christmas tree. We had to improvise so I put lights around our “mother-in-law plant” and it came out looking pretty good.

My parents and brothers came to visit us for Christmas. We had a great Christmas Eve dinner that consisted of turkey, breadless stuffing, pierna de puerco en chile colorado, and bacalao. Everything was delicious!

Christmas morning Cameron was anxious to open presents. We had a great time! Here are a few pictures of some of our gifts.

Job gave Jorge a Simpson's Duff Beer baseball hat:

Cameron and I gave Job and Obama action figure. The box says "Barack Obama an action figure we can believe in". We wanted to get him a McCain one but couldn't find one:

Cameron gave me this as a Christmas gift (deer hunted last month):

This was his gift from me:

We found a house!

We are so excited because we now have a place to live when we move to Massachusetts! The lease agreement was finalized yesterday. Thank you SO much for all your prayers!

Here are some pictures that were available in the realtor’s website:

Alcantar / Mutimer Wedding - Maryland

A while ago I promised to post more pictures of our trip to Maryland last month. Here are a few pictures of the Alcantar/Mutimer rehearsal dinner and their wedding.
The rehearsal dinner was in an Italian restaurant and it was a multi-course meal. They served pizza, lasagna, salad, pasta & Italian sausage, chicken, green beans and dessert. We had a lot of fun talking to couples from El Paso (members of Vista New Life Church).

Jenn and Ricky:

Jenn, Aunt Sherry and Caro:

Mr. and Mrs. Douglas

The groom, groomsmen and the pastor were all wearing tuxedoes and black converse sneakers! All of the bridesmaids and Jenn were wearing red shoes; they all looked so pretty (every girl must have a pair of red shoes!).

Jenn was beautiful!

Vows:
Beso! Beso! Beso!
We had so much fun at the reception. We were able to visit with friends that we hadn’t seen in a long time. We saw people from Juarez! We talked to Alex Anchono, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Lotinsky (newlyweds), the Ramos family, and our dear friends Matt and Christine Hawes (who are expecting their first baby and is due within the next few weeks!).
