Walden Pond

Yesterday afternoon we went to Walden Pond. Henry David Thoreau lived at Walden Pond for two years and his experience there helped write his book Walden. His writtings in this book inspired nature awareness and respect for the environment and now Walden Pond is a National Historic Landmark and is considered the birthplace of the conservation movement. Louisa May Alcott also mentions Walden Pond in her book Little Women.
