Last Saturday we had to say goodbye to my parents. We had a great time with them and we all got spoiled. My mom cleaned the kitchen, my dad worked in the yard and the garden, and they both cooked delicious meals. Our freezer is completely full of food that my parents prepared for us. We won't be buying meat anytime soon!

Emma got used to having attention all day and this past week was a little hard on her. Fortunately I think she's back on her routine and has been entertaining herself while I do other things around the house.

It was great having my parents visit us and hopefully we can see them again soon!

First Date

For the first time since Emma was born we went out on a date to a Thai restaurant. My parents watched Emma while we enjoyed exellent food and time alone. It had been a while since I wore a dress and high heels. I was very excited to learn that my pre-pregnancy dresses still fit!

We had a wonderful time and we hope to do it more often now that Emma is getting older.

We are blessed to live in such a quiet area where we can go outside and not worry about traffic. Last week we enjoyed great weather and it gave us the opportunity to take some pictures and enjoy the warmth.

The Hawes

Before the Hawes returned home, I took them to Sleepy Hollow cemetery and to the Old North Bridge.

Dinner with our Neighbors

I'm glad that our guests were able to meet our wonderful neighbors over dinner, wine, and Belgian beer. We were in charge of the Mexican food and they provided the French food. My dad prepared quesadillas de flor de calabaza (zucchini flower quesadillas) and they were a great hit.
