Emma and Drew
Our friends came up from Louisville for Ana's birthday party. We've been friends with the Carter's since neither of us had kids! Anyway, Drew and Emma are only five days apart so Amanda and I shared our pregnancy experiences over the phone (she was in Texas and I was in Massachusetts).
Drew came right on time and Emma was three weeks early.
Drew was almost 10 pounds and 23 inches long and Emma was only 5 lbs. 12 oz and 19 inches long.
Drew rolled over at three weeks, Emma was nine months old.
Drew crawled at eight months, Emma was eleven months.
Drew walked at eleven months, Emma was sixteen months!
So there were huge differences in their early development but if you saw them now, you would never have guessed. They played all day together with minor bumps (physically and emotionally) and I'm grateful that they get along so well.
Next challenge: Drew teaching Emma how to ride a bike without training wheels. He's been riding his bike since last summer!

Ana Turns Three!
Yesterday was Ana's third birthday! We'll be celebrating tomorrow with a party at our house. Now that she's three she started swimming and gymnastics lessons at our local YMCA. She'll also be able to spend the night at Mei Mei & Paw Paw's and she'll be able to chew gum. Ha, those are big milestones!

Grocery List
This morning Emma helped me make our grocery list in Spanish. I kept telling her the words and she slowly figured out the letters/spelling and wrote them down.
She did an amazing job! I was impressed.

Birthday Tea Party
Emma and I were invited to Shealyn's birthday party at a tea room. It was so cute and everything was perfect.
The girls got to decorate their own party hat, make their own lip gloss and get their face painted. We enjoyed scones, tea sandwiches, fruit, quiche, cupcakes and of course delicious tea (well, the girls got pink lemonade). The tea room was out of a book. The attention to detail was amazing. We loved it!
