Beach Chairs

Cameron decided to rent beach lawn chairs and umbrella for the duration of our stay.  I love him for that! It has saved me from sunburn and from ticks (yes, I had one this morning as we were laying on beach towels at the beach). 

Beach Day

 Having coffee with ocean waves as background is perfect. After everyone was awake, we went to the beach. Girls are having a blast.

 We are blessed to be able to listen/watch live our church, especially with a beautiful ocean view. 

Gulf Shores, AL

 Cameron did an excellent job finding us a condo in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Our condo was remodeled by an HGTV show. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a loft. 

This was Ana’s first time at the beach. Emma was twenty months old the last time she was at the beach (actually it was in Pensacola, we were visiting the Carters).  The girls were so happy to see the ocean and get in the water.

 We’ve been friends with the Carters since Cameron and I got married almost fifteen years ago. We met them in Abilene, TX and we’ve kept in touch throughout the years. Drew, their oldest, is only five days older than Emma. 

We stopped by Atlanta on our way to our family vacation in Gulf Shores, AL and had a great visit with the Carters. 

Free Range Time

 Since it is a beautiful sunny day, we took the chickens out of their coop and had them around our yard. They enjoyed their free range time but the girls and I had to be on the lookout for hawks (we have so many flying around our yard). 

Our FIRST Egg!

 Finally! One of our chicks has laid its first egg! They were born November 2, that makes them 22 weeks old. A little late bloomers. To their benefit, today was the first warm day in a few weeks. 

Emma is holding our first egg in her right hand and one from Costco on her left, just to compare in size. We believe it was one of the Rhode Island Reds that laid it. 

Evan and Katie’s Reception

 The reception was so much fun! Evan and Katie prepared a very special moment for Ana. The master of ceremonies announced a birthday girl and Ana was called to Evan and Katie’s table. We all sang Happy Birthday and she got a special slice of chocolate cake with a candle in it. That was very sweet!
