Today Cameron started demolition in our main bathroom. We remodeled the bathroom when we first bought the house in 2011. We did a quick fix, easy and fast enough to get us moved in to our house. I remember the pink and burgundy tile we had all around the walls which we tore out and replaced with bead board. Today we found it AGAIN behind the shower. We are doing the work ourselves. This will be a fun project.

Putting up the Christmas Decorations
As the girls get older, they want to get more involved in setting up all the Christmas decorations including the Christmas tree. They are a great help; all I have to do is just set up the finishing touches.
This is the first year we set up lights around our house. We’ve always done Christmas lights around our Magnolia tree in the front yard. Now thanks to a team effort with our neighbors we took the ladders out, got the hooks, and came up with a plan. I love the finish product and no one got hurt in the process.

Baking Pecan Pies
We are getting ready for Thanksgiving Dinner. This year it will be a small gathering. Having pecan pies is a must and this year the girls helped me by she them. We followed my mom’s recipe.

Quick Visit from Matt
My brother-in-law Matt came for a quick visit to Ohio. It is always fun to have the family together for a cookout. This time we had homemade barbacoa for lunch and Cameron grilled arrachera steak and chicken for dinner.

Chiles Rellenos
Our neighbors gave us their last batch of poblano and jalapeño peppers from their garden. I made chiles rellenos with the poblano peppers. They turned out delicious! Emma tried them; Ana chose not to because she claimed they were spicy. Maybe next time.
Halloween 2020
We weren’t planning on going trick or treating this year. The main reasons: we don’t want the candy in our house and we spent a fortune in dental bills this year. We came to an agreement with the girls, they could go trick or treating but could only keep five pieces of candy. It was a last minute decision. Emma wasn’t too involved in her costume. Ana wanted to be Mia Hamm.
