Fun Birthday Party
This year we did something different, we had a combined birthday party for Emma and Ana since their birthdays are only two weeks apart. It was great. Perfect! Two cakes, two piñatas (brought in December by the Abuelos from Mexico), one bounce house, lots of yummy food, and tons of candy! It's fun creating these memories with the girls.

Duct Tape Fun
The girls each got a roll of duct tape (among other things) from aunt Jan for their birthday. Their creativity is going to town! They are making folders. Ana already made a kite, cats & dogs. This is great!
Box in the Mail from Abuelos
The girls got a box in the mail today from their Abuelos. Shoes, dresses, limes & candy, that's what they wanted. They get so excited over the simple things in life!

Emma Turned Seven
Yesterday it was Emma's birthday. Seven years have gone by really fast. She's enjoying first grade, still practicing gymnastics, and loving art. Emma is such a caring girl and a great big sister. I love it when she wants Mexican food for her lunch at school (nopales and frijoles charros are her favorite). She has lost three teeth and has another loose tooth. We love her so much...she made us parents for the first time and that will always be something special that we share with her.

Playing with the Sled
We haven't gotten a good snow this winter but that doesn't mean that the girls can't play with their sled. Who knew that a big piece of ice could provide so much entertainment.

24 Hour Weather Change
We went from wearing snow pants and snow boots one day, to wearing shorts and sleeveless the next day. Ha! Crazy weather.
It finally came out!
Emma's tooth is finally out! She let her first grade teacher pull it out. She wouldn't let us touch it or come near it. Goodness!
Now we move on to the next loose tooth and see how long it will take for it to come out.
Dixie Stampede
The Dixie Stampede was the highlight (and splurge) of our trip to Gatlinburg. The pre-show, dinner and horse show were excellent! The girls are still talking about it.
Mountain Rollercoaster
After last year's devastating fires in Gatlinburg, we were afraid that a lot of the attractions were going to be closed. We saw evidence of the fires and also a lot of reconstruction. The town is anxious to get back to normal and the locals are hoping to have a great tourist season once again.
One of the local attractions was the rollercoaster along the mountain. The girls asked if we could ride it and it was so much fun.
