Neighbors = Blessing

We cannot stress enough how the Lord blessed us with great neighbors. Somehow they make it less difficult knowing that they are there for you if you need anything.

First day of Spring

Even though it is spring, we are still experiencing cold and very windy days. Here are some pictures of the official first day of spring:

Emma Riding the School Bus

Emma's birthday gift from our neighbors was this cute school bus. It took her a few days to figure out how to push forward and now she even makes this "engine" sound every time she rides it (Daddy taught her that).

Emma Eating Birthday Cake

Here are some pictures of Emma eating her birthday cake. We sang Happy Birthday in four languages: English, Spanish, French and Italian. Of course Emma was loving the attention but didn't really understand what was going on.

She didn't know what to do with her cupcake. She was examining it for a while:

Emma turns ONE!

When Emma was born we used to get a lot of comments saying that we should enjoy her because time goes by so quickly. Well, they were right. Time is going by so quickly and Emma is changing so much. It seems that she has a new expression, a new attitude, a new sound, a new laugh every day. We are definitely enjoying being Emma's parents; she trully is a blessing to our lives.

Emma really enjoyed eating her cake and we had to deal with the "sugar high" for a while (but not that long). I'll try to post some of those pictures later.

Eyelashes

I think we've seen great improvement on Emma's eyelashes.

New Running Shoes

Emma got these running shoes in the mail today; they are a gift from her Abuelos and her Tio Jorge. They are just adorable and they fit just about right.

Emma you are almost one year old, what are you going to do next?

Walk with Mommy

Now that the weather is getting warmer, Emma, Atenas and I go walking around our neighborhood almost every day. Emma still has to wear her snow suit when we go out but she doesn’t seem to mind wearing it if she gets to go outside. I think Emma is going to love the outdoors just like her daddy.

Comfortable Sleeper

Almost every time that I put Emma down for her nap I expect to find her in a different position when she wakes up. Yesterday Emma surprised when I found her in the most unusual, uncomfortable sleeping position. Don’t worry; she wasn’t sleeping in this position for a long time.

Wishing for Warmer Weather

Emma (and the rest of New England) has been wishing for warmer weather. She has to wear a snow suit every time we go out for a walk. Poor thing, maybe next time we'll move to a place where the winters aren't that long!
