Because all of the wedding guests were from out of town, Evan and Katie decided to host a welcome dinner the day before the wedding instead of just having a rehearsal dinner for the bridal party.
I have to admit that shopping for this event was so much fun! The entire celebration was af Westin - La Paloma . The resort was the perfect venue for the beautiful festivities. The welcome dinner was at the country club. The sunset against the mountains was astonishing.
For desert, they served donuts. It had a special meaning because Evan and Katie went to a donut shop for their first date. The maple donuts were pretty good! The dinner was buffet style and they served: salad, zucchini and yellow squash, shrimp and pork tacos, rice, beans, guacamole, chips and salsa. Everything was delicious.
