First Day of School: 10th & 8th grade

First day of tenth and eight grade and our tradition of going to Graeter’s Ice Cream. 

Quinceañera/ Sweet Sixteen

 

Emma’s Quinceañera - Preparations

 The big combined birthday party finally arrived! Emma and her friend Shealyn (who turned 16) have been friends for over ten years. We talked about having a combined birthday party when the girls turned 15 and 16 a long time ago. Everything went smoothly and we are so thankful for all of our friends who helped with this party. 

We had it at a farm and it was an extremely hot day. We spent a little over an hour decorating the barn.  

Ana - Gymnastics Nationals

 Ana did a fantastic job at the Nationals gymnastics meet. She got a medal in beam which she was very proud of. 

Renard’s Cheese

 We knew that we would be visiting Door County while we were in Green Bay. Last time we were here was seven years ago in 2018. Cameron really wanted to recreate a picture from our last visit to a cheese shop called Renard’s Cheese.

Opening Ceremony

 This year Green Bay, WI is hosting Nationals. The venue is pretty incredible as it is next to Lambeau Field. The guest speaker for Opening Ceremony was Jordan Chiles. It was fun seeing all of Ana’s teammates and their coaches be part of this event. All the girls had a tattoo of Coach Karen’s face (it was hilarious). Nationals is the culmination of this year’s hard work at the gym. 

Had to stop by The Cheese Castle as soon as we drove into Wisconsin:

YMCA Nationals Gymnastics Competition - First Stop: Auntie Carol’s

 On our way to Green Bay, WI for the 2025 Nationals Gymnastics Competition, we stopped by “auntie” Carol’s house south of Chicago. Carol introduced us to Italian beef and WOW! It was delicious!  Carol showed us around her new hometown and of course the tour has to end at The Creamery for some ice cream.
