Two Weeks in TX

The girls and I headed to Corpus Christi, TX on Mother’s  Day to help my friend Scenet and her husband Jonah care for their kids while they went to Colorado for medical treatment. Last time I had seen Scenet’s family was in 2019 when her twin girls were about twelve weeks old.

Emma and Ana brought their last two weeks of school and they finished it while in Texas. I’m so proud of them for finishing school and helping out with the kids. Our visit was filled with a lot of work, challenging situations, hot temperatures, new shopping experiences, and three snake encounters. My favorite part was all the connections made and desires to keep learning Bible stories from Nico. He was a little sponge learning about David, Jonah, Elijah, and of course our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

At the end of the two weeks, Cameron came down for the weekend and we all flew back together to Ohio. We were so excited to see him but Nico, Ade and Isa were also happy to have “a papi” at their house.

Praise the Lord that Jonah and Scenet are back home. They were gone almost three weeks and they found medical answers.

Orange Beach, AL | Sea Food

We had seafood every day and it was delicious. We tried Zeke’s Landing our first night and it was really good. We are blessed that none of us are allergic to seafood.

It was our friend’s fortieth birthday back home and I made a roast to her health and had to take a picture.

I wanted to take this selfie with Ana to document the tower of seafood on the table behind us. Ha!

Family Trip to Orange Beach, AL

One of the many perks of homeschooling is that we can take vacations any time we want and avoid crowds. We went to Orange Beach and we practically had it to ourselves. The girls spent most of their time in the water with their boogie boards. This year we tried soft shell crab for the first time, visited the girls’s “school” in Pensacola, saw dolphins most days and went fishing. We had an amazing time and made great memories.

Our road trip was less than twelve hours and of course we had to stop by Buc-ees.

Birthday Shopping with Miss Amie

If you have the privilege to meet Amie, you will be blessed immediately. She’s full of joy, compassion, love and above all she loves the Lord. It was no surprise that both Emma and Ana wanted to celebrate their birthdays by going shopping with Amie. We spent seven hours visiting different stores and a late lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. The girls had an amazing time!

Picture Day at Dance Studio

Today was picture day at the dance studio. I can’t  wait to see the recital.  Emma got home after 8:30 so I had to take her pictures inside our house.

Ana turns ELEVEN!

Ana turned eleven today! We had pancakes for breakfast, pizza for lunch, ice cream for snack and leftover pizza for dinner. Yes, our day was full of carbs! All of Ana’s favorites!

Taking Tess for a Ride

Watching Tess over spring break for some friends has been so fun. She’s an amazing dog! Yesterday we took her over to our friends’ house so she could meet two baby goats that Allison is watching. Emma and Ana helped Allison bottle feed them and it was really cute.
