Yesterday we met with our old neighbors at Caesar’s Creek State Park for a day at the beach and lake. The girls had a blast swimming, kayaking and collecting clay. The weather was perfect and we almost had the beach to ourselves.

Graeter’s | First Day of School Tradition
Our first day of school went well. Girls finished all their work by 12:20! Ana claims it is a lot more work than public schools. They asked if we were going to keep our tradition of going to Graeter’s ice cream after school and I said yes. We had to drive a little longer than in previous years but their smiles were the same.

School starts today! Emma is going into sixth grade and Ana into fourth grade. After much prayer we decided to homeschool. Girls are excited in our new journey. Here’s to a great school year!

San Antonio - Sweet Gire Kitchen at La Cantera
Our first night at La Cantera Resort we went to Sweet Fire Kitchen for dinner. Their specialty is steaks. We had crab beignets and corn bread with honey for appetizer and Akaushi New York Steak with collard greens, asparagus and carrots as our main course. Delicious!
It was a LONG day (waking up at 4 AM to catch a flight plus a two hour horse back riding adventure) and ending the day with a great dinner was the icing on the cake.
Bandera, TX
This month I was able to join Cameron on his monthly work trip to Texas. Cameron booked a two hour horse back riding trip in Cowboy Capital of the World, Bandera, TX. We had an amazing time riding in the hill country. Our guide was a sweet girl who has a passion for horses. Cameron rode Swirl and I rode Hollywood. It was 90 degrees it there was a light breeze and it didn’t feel that hot.

Ana is Nine!
Ana turns nine years old today! She wanted chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and wants to go to City BBQ for lunch. We had her friends over a couple of weeks ago for pizza, ice cream cake and of course the piñata. The girls had a great time.
