Cameron decided on cement board siding for our dormer. In my opinion, it is harder to work with than vinyl or aluminium or even wood. We primed it and painted it before putting it up. We broke a few boards even after being real careful with it. The cuts are very dusty (picture cement dust flying all over the place).
It looks nice once it is up. Hopefully we made the right choice of material that will last many years.

My favorite birthday was on March 19, 2018. It was my favorite birthday because my mom bought me a cookie cake and i got to pick it. It was turquoise with sprinkles. I also liked that birthday because I turned 8. Also I liked when I got presents. I liked when I got to hit my piñata.
That was the best birthday ever!
The little things that make this kid happy!
Last Tuesday the city took down a tree that was next to our driveway. It was the home to several woodpeckers but it was rotten. The tree came down in about 30 minutes with precise cuts to make it fall in the right-of-way.
Emma and Madeline have been friends since kindergarten. They are in different class but they still hang out during recess and during Mexican Dance performances.
Cameron finished installing the moisture barrier all around the dormer. This thing is now water proof. Dan helped him install the window. They did a great job.
We have made a lot of progress with the dormer addition since we finally gave nice weather!
Today was the first time Emma and her friend performed in the dance outfits that I made. The girls can really move and twirl those skirts (nine yards if fabric) with lots of grace.
Ana had another commitment (a birthday party that we had already RSVP) and had to miss this performance.
