Ana was playing dress up and this is what she came up with. Good grief! She even napped wearing it.
In this picture she is showing me her sticky hands after eating cookies with cajeta.

Ana gets quite pitiful after Cameron leaves. He came home for lunch and Ana was clinging to him and asking him not to leave. Cute!
Meijer, our local grocery store, has a mechanical horse named Sandy and kids can ride it for only 1 penny! Ana taught me into going to Meijer to buy some gum and ride Sandy. Emma was in school and we needed to kill some time, so why not.
Meijer is remodeling and Ana got a construction hat. She was definitely riding Sandy with style. Ha!
Ana just got this hand-me-down leotard and of course she wanted to wear it ASAP. Ha, I say it is a little tight!
Saturday we visited our friends in Louisville, KY. The kids played all day (I wonder where they get all that energy!).
Brian smoked a brisket on his Green Egg. He's pretty serious about smoking meat (same as Cameron) so they were exchanging techniques and suggestions. The brisket was delicious!
We hope to see them more often now that they live close.
We went over to our neighbors' house to play with the kitties. The girls love them and they are so gentle with them!
It is very rare when Ana is wearing matching socks. Yesterday morning she was wearing one sock that she wore when she was a newborn! Never a dull moment with this child!
Yesterday we were able to have a short visit with our friend Carol. The girls love her and they can't wait to visit her in Chicago next month. They've been talking about our visit from last year and I'm surprised they remember!
It is starting to feel like spring. We can actually go outside without a coat! Of course frost is still a possibility (last year it snowed on April 15th and killed the flowers in our Mongolia tree).
We are SO excited that our peach and nectarine trees have flowers! Last year's winter was so severe that the trees didn't bloom. We are looking forward to the delicious summer fruits.
On a different note, my succulents are "on rehab". I got good drainage soil and cactus plant food. I'm hoping the droopy plants will come alive one more time.
Happy Spring!
Cameron took the girls out for some ice cream while I spent some time in the office. I think it is the first day that it has been over 70 degrees!
This morning Ana and I went to an estate sale and got a purse and two bracelets. The purse is in great condition and it was stuffed with old DC newspapers and a Sears catalog from 1964! How cool is that?!?
Unfortunately I didn't take a lot of pictures of Ana's birthday party but I can tell you that she had so much fun! And this time the piñata had candy in it (Cameron made a hole in one leg and stuffed the candy inside). We had pizza, nachos and smoked chicken for lunch. Cameron smoked the chicken and it was excellent!! We also had homemade vanilla ice cream with the cake and cupcakes.
Ana is wild but she brings so much joy to our lives!
